Katina Pinkama Ceremony by Star Ayurvedic - 2025

At Star Ayurvedic, we are committed to fostering holistic wellness and spiritual harmony. In keeping with our values, we proudly organize the annual Katina Pinkama, a traditional and revered Buddhist ceremony symbolizing generosity, community, and gratitude.

The Katina Pinkama marks the end of the Vassana period (the Buddhist Rainy Retreat), during which monks reside in their temples for meditation and reflection. This sacred occasion is an opportunity for lay devotees to offer a Katina Cheevara (a specially prepared robe) to the Sangha (monastic community). The offering represents a profound act of dāna (charity) and is believed to generate immense merit for the donors.

Through this Katina Pinkama, we at Star Ayurvedic celebrate not only our cultural heritage but also the virtues of selflessness and compassion that form the core of our mission.
